I am Robert Duckmanton's son, who is on these pages and living in Portland, Oregan, and brother of Bronwyn Duckmanton (Aspen, Colarado) and Elizabeth Duckmanton (Canberra, Aust). Well done to Mel for keeping such a good site going. Please feel free to get in contact with me as I am now getting to that age where geneology is actually of interest (!!) and if there are any of the clan coming to Australia it is more than OK to catch up for meet and greet when 'down under'. In the family tree section I am listed as Martin Thomas Duckmanton, and my younger brother as Benjiman John. In fact our middle names should be transposed to read Martyn John Duckmanton and Benjiman Thomas Duckmanton. Also, our father John's year of birth is 1943, not 1913, while our mother's name is Anne Travis, not Ann Travis, date of birth 23/10/41, father Francis Bridgeman Travis and mother Joyce nee Rabbit. Furthermore, Edna Duckmanton, John's mother, died earlier this year so you may wish to remove her address from the UK address list. I am happy to receive email if you have any queries but I do ask that you refrain from allowing too many crazy amateur genealogists from bombarding me with weird thirteenth cousin removed questions - they should refer to your excellent site! During a visit back to England during June I visited a cousin who has traced the family back as far as 1795 without the aid if a computer. So I guess I am lucky to have such a tool to assist me.
