You are from: Sydney, Australia (born Adelaide, Sth Aust) Comments: Well hello to all the Duckmanton's out there and, as most, I am uniquely surprised by the amount of us that there are. I am Robert Duckmanton's son, who is on these pages and living in Portland, Oregan, and brother of Bronwyn Duckmanton (Aspen, Colarado) and Elizabeth Duckmanton (Canberra, Aust). Well done to Mel for keeping such a good site going. Please feel free to get in contact with me as I am now getting to that age where geneology is actually of interest (!!) and if there are any of the clan coming to Australia it is more than OK to catch up for meet and greet when 'down under'. You are from: Adelaide, South Australia, Australia Comments: Mel, What a surprise! I'm on the web. You may wish to update some details. In the family tree section I am listed as Martin Thomas Duckmanton, and my younger brother as Benjiman John. In fact our middle names should be transposed to read Martyn John Duckmanton and Benjiman Thomas Duckmanton. Also, our father John's year of birth is 1943, not 1913, while our mother's name is Anne Travis, not Ann Travis, date of birth 23/10/41, father Francis Bridgeman Travis and mother Joyce nee Rabbit. Furthermore, Edna Duckmanton, John's mother, died earlier this year so you may wish to remove her address from the UK address list. I am happy to receive email if you have any queries but I do ask that you refrain from allowing too many crazy amateur genealogists from bombarding me with weird thirteenth cousin removed questions - they should refer to your excellent site! Pleased to see there's another Duckmanton out there with a drink in his hand - I'll toast a Coopers Pale Ale in your favour! Kind regards, Martyn Sign Time: September 18 2000 at 18:56:16 |

You are from: Sydney Australia Comments: Because my son asked about our family heritage I have started to become involved. During a visit back to England during June I visited a cousin who has traced the family back as far as 1795 without the aid if a computer. So I guess I am lucky to have such a tool to assist me. Although not related to the Duckmanton family, I visited this site out of curiosity and would like to congratulate you on what I am sure will be a really great site for anyone related to your family. Keep up your good work. Regards, Fred Sign Time: July 20 2000 at 05:18:15 |

Homepage URL: http:// when I get round to it! You are from: Sudbrooke, Lincoln, UK (originally: Kirkby, Liverpool) Comments: Nicely put together site, quick to download and easy to navigate. If I could make a criticism it would be that the commments preview page is a bit dark and difficult to see. It seems the Duckmanton clan is tiny compared to the Smith's, Jones's or even Powell's. I am interested to see how far and wide the clan is spread and maybe learn a bit more of the family history. I look forward to further development. Keep up the good work.
